Luella G. Robinson, 90, of Weirton, WV, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was born on November 21, 1935, in Wallace, WV, a daughter of the late Ariel Duvall Hutson and Beatrice Louise Webb Hutson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Nicholas R. Robinson, who passed in 2005.
Following high school, Luella began her career with Weirton Steel Corporation in the General Offices. It was there that Nick Robinson first saw her—and instantly fell in love. The two were married on January 15, 1955, and together built a loving home and raised their family in Weirton.
Throughout her life, Luella worked in several secretarial positions, including with New City Auto Sales, Starck Van Lines, and Hancock Brooke Mental Health. She and her family were devoted members of Christ United Methodist Church in Weirton, where Luella’s faith was a guiding force in her life. She was known for her deep love of God, often reading and carefully highlighting her Bible, and for offering heartfelt, personal prayers at every family meal.
Luella was an avid reader, a talented cook, and a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She joined the Order of the Eastern Star in 1955 and remained a devoted member of Weirton Chapter No. 147, later combined with Wellsburg Chapter No. 23.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cindy Robinson and Cheri Shultz (Buck); sons, Craig Robinson (Joanna) and Arlie Robinson; grandchildren, Leon Burge (Laurel), Nick Robinson (Katie), Alex Robinson, Tori Robinson, Tanner Riley, and Vance Robinson; great-grandchildren, Louis and Lily Burge; brother, Lyle K. Hutson; sister, Nancy Ashley; and several nieces and nephews.
Private visitation and funeral services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, with her nephew, Pastor Kyle Ashley, officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Florence, PA, where she will rest beside her beloved Nicholas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 962, Weirton, WV 26062. Luella's family would like to thank Dr. Khurana and Valley Hospice, especially Nurse Betty who gave such loving care to Luella.
